EDRMS Project Officer
35 hours per week
Temporary for a period of up to 18 months
£28,947 - £31,848 (including Distant Islands Allowance)

https://www.myjobscotland.gov.uk/councils/orkney-islands-council/jobs/edrms-project-officer-159038?from=org

The aim of the Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) project is to deliver a system to manage electronic documents and records created and used by Council officers. The system will support and assist officers across the Council in doing their job and collaborating with others. The system is about more than technology, or the tools officers will have at their disposal. It is about a fundamental change as to how officers work with documents.

As a key member of the EDRMS project team you will support a diverse range of project development and delivery activities. A collaborative and user centric approach will be required as you will work closely with the project manager, project team, end users, external consultants and other stakeholders across the organisation.

The project team includes a range of skills and expertise, including end user stakeholders, from across the Council. You will however be the only post holder working exclusively on the project and as a highly-organised, collaborative and dynamic member of the team you will be key to its success.

Educated to an HND level (or equivalent) you will have experience in supporting projects, schemes or initiatives. You will have excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication skills and work well within a team. With advanced Information Communication and Technology skills you will be able to co-ordinate and prioritise tasks and workload. Applicants will be supported in this role with opportunities for development including one-to-one coaching and mentoring.

This post is subject to Basic Disclosure Scotland clearance.

It is anticipated that interviews will take place in week commencing 15 July 2019.

Further information about the role please contact Alex Rodwell (from 21 June) on 01856 873535, extension 2281 or [log in to unmask] or George Vickers on 01856 873535, extension 2162 or [log in to unmask]

Closing Date: Sunday 30 June 2019.

Please note that interview expenses are not payable for this post but it may be possible to arrange for remote interviews (Skype, telephone etc.).
