The National Gallery is seeking an experienced Records Manager to lead the process of transferal to paperless working as they prepare to move into a new accommodation hub (expected completion date 2020).
Reporting to the Programme Executive and Programme Board, the post holder will be responsible for developing and implementing effective and efficient procedures for the management of all Gallery records in accordance with institutional and statutory requirements. They will partner with Heads of Departments and senior stakeholders of the Gallery to provide reliable professional advice and support to ensure a smooth transition to paperless working.
The successful candidate will be a postgraduate in archives or records management with comprehensive knowledge of e-records management theory and practice, as well as demonstrable experience of working with records in all formats. In addition, they will have in-depth knowledge of information-related legislation, including GDPR, Freedom of Information and Re-Use of Public Sector Information regulations. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to persuade and influence senior colleagues will be essential when implementing records management procedures across all areas of the Gallery.
This is a fixed-term post for 12 months for the duration of the One Gallery accommodation hub project.
