[with apologies for cross-posting]
Dear Practice Researchers,
Please come along to this day of discussion and examples based on how new REF guidelines affect practice, and advice from recent PRAG-UK discussions (including advice from REF panelists across Main Panel D). We'll look (briefly I promise) at the new REF guidelines for practice, and discuss examples of ways to ensure your submitted practice is reviewable; see Sarah Whatley's excellent advice here - https://prag-uk.org/2019/01/15/sarah-whatley-blog-post/.
Looking wider than REF, Simon McVeigh will talk about recent cross-disciplinary work done by PRAG-UK that looks to the future. Plans and infrastructures to increase visibility and accessibility of UK Practice Research, and its impact, and to make this research more searchable internationally.
The event is open to any sort of practitioner-academics; composers, performers of any culture/era, computer music/music technologists, improvisers etc. If your practice is also your research, then come along. Please pass this on to relevant people.
