Dear Colleagues,
We are excited to announce the finalization of a Special Issue on Music & Eye-Tracking<https://bop.unibe.ch/JEMR/issue/view/793> in the Journal of Eye Movement Research. The special issue features research previously presented at the first Music & Eye-Tracking conference that took place at the Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics in summer 2017 (MET 17<http://ae.mpg.de/met17>). The conference brought together over 60 international experts with diverse research backgrounds (psychology, neuroscience, many fields of music research including ethnomusicology and systematic musicology) and a common interest of investigating musical processing by using eye-tracking as a method. Broadly, the issue covers topics such as music reading, music during visual tasks, mobile eye-tracking during live performance, and pupillary responses to music. We hope you enjoy the Special Issue and that you consider joining us for the next Music & Eye-Tracking conference at the Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics, Frankfurt, July 16-17th, 2020 (MET 20). As soon as more information on MET 20 is available (likely fall 2019), you will find it here.<http://ae.mpg.de/met>
Kind regards,
Elke B. Lange & Lauren K. Fink
