Hi Tony,
Thank you for your response.
At the moment getting to York in the working week would be a bit of a stretch for any of our team but we would welcome having such an event nearer to home in the future.
Kind regards,
Nichola

Hi Nichola
It is a possibility. I have changed the theme each time up until this point but there may be scope to run the same event north and south due to travel and logistics issues of attendance for some.
Thanks for your interest and I am always open to feedback.

Hi Tony,
This sounds like it might be useful, would you be planning any more of the same event further south?
Kind regards,
Nichola

Subject: NEW EVENT : POCT - The Power to Disrupt...
Hi Mailbase
There is a new Point of Care Testing event arranged for Tuesday 10th September at The Principal hotel in York. There will be two main themes to the event, the first will be the national move towards networking and how standardisation of POCT testing across networks will disrupt the current patient pathways and relieve pressure on acute care settings. The second theme will be a focus on some of the success stories for solutions available to support the standardisation of care within these networks.
The agenda will include the use of POCT in community settings such as urgent care centres, GPs/Health Centres, Outreach Clinics, Pharmacies, etc.
I hope to release the agenda in the next couple of weeks. There will be early bird prices and also an incentive to bring a key enabler/influencer with you for free (subject to agreement). A key enabler/influencer would be someone from a medical specialty, CCG, hospital procurement, senior management or other roles with budgetary/decision making responsibility.
Why? Because we should all be looking to influence the way in which patient care can be delivered in the 21st century, in line with the work that NHS Improvement and other organisations are implementing. The last meeting in Reading covered Quality and Governance, so this is a progression towards championing some of the pioneering work being done, and the solutions available to the healthcare system.
