Yes-- but the single K+ model only ever produces a single strange 
hadron, the K+ -- never any strange baryons.  The "associated 
production" that you're discussing below is a quantum mechanically 
distinct process whose diagrams never interfere with single kaon except 
by FSI (which we treat independently anyway).
