Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position dedicated to extending the scope of the Herzfeld group’s sub-atomistic force fields. This intuitive, semi-classical treatment of valence electrons has been shown to describe molecular flexibility, polarizability and reactivity in a highly efficient and transferable manner (see the DOI’s listed below).
An initial one year appointment ill be renewable for up to two additional years upon mutual agreement. The candidate should have a solid background in molecular modeling, preferably including strong computer programming skills and experience in conducting and analyzing molecular dynamics simulations. Applicants should supply a CV, including publication list and contact information for at least two references. Applications will be considered until the position is filled.
