Fixed-term contract until 30 May 2020
Salary: within a range £28,660 - £34,189 per annum (pro-rata)
Exeter College, part of the University of Oxford, seeks an enthusiastic and motivated Records Manager to join its Library and Archives team.
Following recent changes in data protection legislation, the College has identified an essential requirement to establish a sustainable records management system. This is, therefore, a fantastic opportunity for you to design and implement this system from scratch, and to play a key role in developing policies, processes and standards across a range of areas which will ensure the ongoing success of the system.
To be successful you will have a relevant postgraduate qualification in records management, and you will also have recent records management experience (including work with digital records). A familiarity with archival practice and digital preservation standards will be essential, as will excellent interpersonal and administration skills, and an ability to work to a high level of accuracy. You should be comfortable working autonomously, but you will also need to be flexible and collaborative in attitude, and willing to work with a wide range of stakeholders as required.
Experience of working as a Records Manager in an academic organisation would be an advantage, as would experience of electronic records management systems; however, neither are essential and full training will be provided.
Salary will be within the range £28,660 - £34,189 per annum (pro-rata), depending on skills and experience. In addition, the College offers a range of other benefits, including a generous annual leave allowance, access to contributory pension scheme and healthcare/ dental cover, and a free lunch whilst on duty.
