We are pleased to announce the call for papers for the Centre for Research on Families and Relationships 6th International conference on Intersectionality, Families and Relationships on 22nd-24th June. Leading social theorist and activist Patricia Hill Collins will open the conference, providing the platform for an exciting and vibrant dialogue on how intersectionality, past and present, can deepen our understandings of families and relationships and the power relations within.
We welcome papers reporting empirical research findings, methodological approaches to researching intersectionality, as well as those more theoretical in orientation. We are especially keen to include the experiences and perspectives of those working outside academia, in policy and practice settings, and would welcome papers from professionals working in these contexts.
Contributions may include, but are not limited to, the role of intersectionality in families and/or relationships in the following areas:

• SEXUALITY & GENDER
• SOCIAL CLASS AND INEQUALITIES
• INTERSECTIONAL CHILDHOODS & YOUTHS

The call for papers is open until 31st August 2019. Abstracts received after this date will not be considered.
