Quantity Surveying External Examiner Vacancy

Coventry University is seeking to appoint an external examiner to a range of modules within our undergraduate BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management programme and our Post Graduate MSc in Construction project and Cost Management programme.

External examiner responsibilities include moderation of assessments through Moodle and/or attendance at the University. In addition, completion of an annual monitoring report and attendance at subject panels where student marks are ratified is also expected.   

The School uses an electronic marking system associated with the originality checking programme Turnitin. External examiners are required to make use of the system during the external moderation process (accessible through Moodle).

Experienced and new external examiners will be considered provided the applicant is a current member of the Royal Institute of Charted Surveyors (RICS) and can show relevant professional experience and a valid teaching qualification, as there are essential requirements for this post.  

The appointment will be with effect from September 2019 for a tenure of 4 years.

Full details of the programmes and modules will be provided to appointees and an induction will be provided by the University following appointment.
