Hi Dave,
You're right that it looks like CCP-EM can't find your Chimera installation. (We'll improve the error message in future so it's more clear what the actual problem is when this happens.)
CCP-EM looks for Chimera using your PATH environment variable, as usual for Linux programs. At the terminal you used to start CCP-EM, can you launch Chimera by typing 'chimera'? If not, you'll need to add Chimera to your path. The standard way to do that is with a symbolic link - see point 3 in the instructions here: https://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera/data/downloads/1.13.1/linux_x86_64.html
If you don't want to put Chimera on your path for some reason, it is also possible to tell CCP-EM directly where to find it. If you'd like to do that, let me know and I can give you instructions for how to do it.
Best wishes,
Colin

Subject: [ccpem] Ribfind error viewing in chimera
Hi there,
I am attempting to flexibly fit a model into my low resolution EM map so am following the most recent Flex-EM tutorial on CCPEM. On the results page for the Ribfind that I have run I am attempting to view the coloured rigid bodies by using the "View (Chimera)" button on the results tab. However it gives me this error in the terminal:
TypeError: arguments did not match any overloaded call:
QProcess.startDetached(QString, QStringList, QString) -> (bool, int): argument 1 has unexpected type 'NoneType'
QProcess.startDetached(QString, QStringList): argument 1 has unexpected type 'NoneType'
QProcess.startDetached(QString): argument 1 has unexpected type 'NoneType'
I'm assuming CCPEM can't find my chimera installation. I'm have some experience with linux but not completely comfortable so I'm not sure what to do to fix it.
Any help would be much appreciated,
Dave Farmer
