Dear Yangqi,
Open both maps with chimera, then Use Tools-> Volume Data -> Surface Color
The surface to color is the local resolution filtered map
(localred_filtered.mrc), and choose to color by : Volume data value.
Give the localres.mrc as input volume file. Press color.. that's it !

I opened localres_filtered.mrc and localres.mrc in Chimera, but I could find any difference compared to my original map? Could anyone tell me how to display the result with color scale?
