The West Yorkshire Archive Service is currently looking to recruit an Archive Assistant based at the West Yorkshire Archive Service, Calderdale.
The successful candidate will be working as part of a team and will help supervise a busy public searchroom, answer enquiries, retrieve archival documents from stores, work on income generating services including our Research Service, undertake copying of historic documents, sorting and listing of archive material and participate in outreach activities on behalf of the service. Some evening and weekend working will be required.
As well as being a key part of the Calderdale Archive team you will be working alongside the larger team of library staff in the new Central Library and Archives in Halifax, in particular the Local Studies department.

Salary: £18,795 - £19,171 (£11,277 – £11,502.60 pro rata)
Scale points: WY03
Hours: 22.2 hours - 3 days per week (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday)
Based at: West Yorkshire Archive Service, Calderdale
