The position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated project manager to support the management of three research projects within the Department of Applied Health Research. The project manager will provide support to three research projects, including providing the full range of research project management activities required for each of the three projects, coordinating communications across each of the three projects, developing and maintaining relationships with key external partners and coordinating internal and external meetings, developing and monitoring milestones, coordinating the preparation and production of reports, coordinating other dissemination activities, and undertaking financial monitoring and reporting. This post is for 12 months maternity cover. It is also open to UCL staff as a secondment.
The successful candidate will be educated to a university degree level or equivalent and have proven project management skills or qualifications. Previous experience managing complex research projects and relationships both within research teams and between research teams is essential. Experience with meeting coordination and financial systems and procedures is essential. The successful candidate must be able to work unsupervised. Knowledge of NIHR and its processes and procedures desirable. Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise are essential, as is the ability to drive forward several projects and tasks at once, and to use initiative to solve problems. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills are required.
