The University of Bolton is seeking to appoint an experienced and suitably qualified academic to act as External Examiner for the BSc (Hons) Health and Social Care / BSc (Hons) Health and Social Care (with foundation) / HND Health and Social Care programmes.
The programmes run once per year, commencing in September, with students having the option of undertaking the programme on a full or part time basis.
The successful applicant must be from the Health and Social Care sector, with experience of teaching and learning on similar programmes. He/she will work with our existing External Examiners to review a number of modules within the programme. This will include modules delivered at level HE 3, level HE 4, level HE 5 and level HE 6 with some of the modules shared between pathways. There is also another external examiner involved with the programmes.
The External Examiner will be expected to attend the programme assessment boards held in February and July, consider student work and contribute to the overall assessment process. This will include the opportunity to attend student events/ presentations.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced academic staff. All appointments are subject to the candidate meeting the University’s criteria for appointment.
