Module/Award External Examiners for Secondary Education, Faculty of Education, Health and Wellbeing, University of Wolverhampton.
The University of Wolverhampton requires module external examiners for the secondary PGCE courses, contributing to our postgraduate awards for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
External examiners are required to monitor the quality of the following subject areas:
• Social Sciences
• Psychology
We are seeking candidates whose areas of expertise would enable him or her to monitor the quality of the secondary ITT courses in their subject area and externally moderate assessed work. The external examiner will comment on a sample of marked scripts for modules; undertake visits to partnership schools (usually in May/June); meet a group of trainee teachers; attend the Module Board (usually the first Friday in July); and submit an annual report. External examiners are also required to provide comments on proposed modifications and the development of new modules within their area of expertise.
In addition to module duties, we are also seeking External Examiners for the following awards:
• Postgraduate (to include PGCE and School Direct tuition routes)
These posts are for an initial period of 4 years, starting in 2019-2023
