Event Description
London Anthropology Day 2019 (LAD2019) is a free university taster event for Year 12, 13 and FE students, teachers, careers advisers and parents. LAD2019 takes place on Saturday 29 June 2019 at the British Museum.
Fascinated by different cultures? Curious about human evolution? Looking for a broad and exciting degree?
Discover what anthropology is all about at London Anthropology Day 2019
Gain hands-on experience of what it is like to study anthropology. Take part in interactive workshops such as 'You can't Speak "Properly" (that's a good thing!)', 'Evolution of the Human Hand over Five Million Years', 'The Madness of Success? Why Stress, Anxiety and Depression are on the Rise in Contemporary Societies' and 'Natural Born Killers? The Anthropology of Conflict, from Chimpanzees to Crusaders and Everything in Between', delivered by university lecturers from twenty five anthropology departments around the UK. Students can explore career paths with anthropology, compare undergraduate courses at all the university stalls, gain tips on university admission and meet students who are currently studying anthropology. London Anthropology Day is organised by Emma Ford (Education and Communications Officer at the Royal Anthropological Institute) in collaboration with the British Museum and participating universities.
