As far as I know, Cohen's d is calculated in PALM as the COPE/sqrt(variance of the residuals).
1- After reading a little of palm_core, it seems like this calculation doesn't adjust for the effective dofs when exchangeablity blocks are provided. Is that correct and would it produce a valid Cohen's d in this case?
2- If not, is there a way to calculate an "adjusted" Cohen's d when we have nested EVs like site and family IDs (such as in the HCP database)?
3- Otherwise, how inaccurate is this calculation? Would you recommend not reporting Cohen's d when we have nested EVs?
