Mirrors come at you
Don’t you hate that
You’re in a hurry
and that pace
comes right
back at you
Think YOU’RE busy -
what do you reckon’s
going on
back here
2
Things unhappen
when you turn away
from a mirror
When you return
did they ever really
happen at all
3
A suspended pocket
defying
its two dimensionality
the mirror offers
- if not the full gamut -
a persuasive portion
of what you’d swear
sits before your eyes
4
Unmirrored life
in unmirrored rooms
or away from glass,
far from unruffled water,
even puddles,
seems so
lacking.
We do
and are seen doing,
doubly,
in mirrorland.
Some comfort
to know
we’re never really
alone
