Dear all,
Do pass this on to conservators in your organisations:
https://www.iiconservation.org/content/iic-itcc-2019-training-programme-announced
- it's a chance for conservators to study glass and ceramics conservation for a fortninght in November at the Palace Museum, Beijing: what I think is remarkable though is that all the most significant costs (accommodation, flights, training) are paid for by the programme - so it may well be a chance in a lifetime for someone who'd usually consider two weeks in China out of reach. And obviously fabulous experience and a chance to make international contacts for your museum.
The deadline is this Thursday, though I hear they may extend. There are 12 places in total (another 12 will be filled by Chinese mainland conservators).
Many thanks,
Kate Smith
