Thank you very much for your replies. I think I don't fully understand when you say that I could not interpret directionality of the results.
When you talk about the map that the results refer to, do you mean for example the spatial map of the component as shown in the MELODIC report?
If yes, then would a higher subject score mean that that map is "more strongly weighted" for that subject when it is combined with all the others to give an approximation of the real data? Therefore, would a positive correlation of this score with a behavioural measure not be interpretable directionally, in the sense that that component, which is "more strongly represented" in that subject, is associated with a higher score?
