Although this focuses on health rather than child welfare inequalities, there may be relevant stuff here.

Subject: Informing Interventions to reduce health Inequalities (Triple I)
Colleagues,
NHS Health Scotland has published a report and interactive tools as part of our Informing Interventions to reduce health Inequalities (Triple I) project. The project compares the potential impact of a broad range of interventions on population health and health inequalities in Scotland.
Our report shows that actions that aim to redistribute income (a fundamental cause of poor health and health inequalities) are likely to result in the biggest improvements in population health and reductions in health inequalities. We also found that actions that mitigate the impact of exposure to the things that harm our health are significant, but that doing more of these actions (as opposed to actions to undo health inequalities, or prevent them happening in the first place) could have a limited population impact, unless they are targeted carefully.
The interactive tools allow you to view results for any selection of intervention, geography, health outcome and targeting strategy using drop-down menus. Key results are presented visually and there is an option to download the graph and data in a bespoke spreadsheet.
You can access the report and interactive tools on our website: http://www.healthscotland.scot/triplei<https://eur01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.scotpho.org.uk%2Fapp_plugins%2Fnewsletterstudio%2Fpages%2Ftracking%2Ftrackclick.aspx%3Fnid%3D216045229248236096049105135081217103108081184165%26e%3D207054189020237209118143193001088253162087064037205060227024070103167199216002085201014104130209%26url%3Dhttp%253a%252f%252fwww.healthscotland.scot%252ftriplei&data=02%7C01%7Chsx056%40coventry.ac.uk%7C9ef8a46acd0247cc267208d6ca38b8d7%7C4b18ab9a37654abeac7c0e0d398afd4f%7C0%7C1%7C636918742307719497&sdata=B7WDFOKp7ANCX6qOz%2FFgy1c2Nvg2QZXzG9LUYTFH5oI%3D&reserved=0>.
