Paul Mellon Centre: Temporary Closure of Research Collections
Apologies for cross-posting
Due to essential building works, the Centre’s Archive collections will not be available for consultation during the period 22 April to 24 June 2019 inclusive. We will not be able to answer any enquiries concerning Archive material during this time.
In addition, the Public Study Room – and all Research Collections material – will be completely closed from Friday 10th May to Friday 31st May inclusive. The Public Study Room and the Library Collection will re-open to readers on Monday 3rd June.
This closure is to enable the installation of air conditioning units in the Archive storage areas. The work is being undertaken to ensure the stores provide the environmental conditions that best support the long-term preservation of paper-based archives.
We would be grateful if you could inform any potential users of this closure. Further information can be found here: https://www.paul-mellon-centre.ac.uk/about/news/temporary-closure-of-archive-collections/page/1
Please do not hesitate to contact us if there are any queries relating to the closure period.
Best wishes,
Charlotte Brunskill
