Head of Collections Expertise and Engagement
As the organisational heart of expertise on the National Archive's collection and its context, the Collections Expertise and Engagement department works hand in hand with other teams at The National Archives, and with external partners. Our records specialists offer and advance insight and knowledge that spans the breadth, depth and huge variety of our collections. They respond to and develop ways for all of our audiences to engage with the collection and with us, whether online, onsite, offsite or remotely including through academic research, education and learning, outreach, and through a growing and innovative events and exhibitions programme.
As the Head of Collection Expertise and Engagement, you will have the confidence, experience and credibility to lead and develop our team of records specialists, to deliver our new strategic plan. You will be an excellent communicator with a truly collaborative working style, who will feel passionately about growing the potential to connect the National Archives and our amazing collection with new audiences.
This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational leader to play a significant role at The National Archives, promoting our fresh new vision, and realising our ambition to change the way that people think about archives.
