Morning Guys
I have a manager who recently had a CABG. Unfortunately this has, in part, failed and he needs further surgery. In the meantime, he is relatively well, and is at work (non manual).
My concern is that he is working up to 50 hours+ per week, and working 6 days a week on occasion. Finance is a big driver for this guy as he gets paid for overtime.
Can anyone point me in the direction of any evidence around the effects of long working hours/shift work following CABG.
I am aware of the growing evidence around the health effects of shift work, so don't need that, but anything specific would be great.
I am writing to his Cardiologist, as I am keen to keep him at work, but my feeling is that he is 'pushing it'. Unfortunately a feeling is not enough to advise.
thank you
Donna
