Dear all,
Seefar is looking for a short-term international research consultant based in, or willing to travel to, Iraqi Kurdistan (Erbil and Sulaymaniyah) to conduct research around challenges the LGBTQ community faces in accessing services in KRI.
Specifically, the research aims to:
● map existing support services to the LGBTQ community in KRI;
● assess the accessibility of local services;
● assess the extent to which discrimination impacts on migration decisions;
● identify the communication channels and referral pathways used by this under-served target group.
To excel in this role, you will have a postgraduate degree and at least three years of experience in conducting primary research on human rights, sexual orientation, gender, gender nonconformity, and discrimination against minority groups, with a focus on KRI as highly desirable. You have strong interview and data analysis skills and complete fluency in written and spoken English. You are highly organised, have the ability to prioritise and are highly productive.
This role will be for a 1-month period, beginning in May, 2019, all deliverables will have to be finalised by June, 2019.
If you are interested, please request the terms of reference (ToR) from Simonetta Bozhinova at [log in to unmask]
