Hi all
In case you haven't seen this elsewhere, we have a post currently being advertised for a Subject Support Librarian. This is based at Bower Ashton Library, the art and design library which is part of the University of the West of England, Bristol.
The post will include supporting several art, design and media courses which will require great liaison skills. We teach academic skills as part of our roles here and focus on embedding teaching within the curriculum - this includes teaching academic skills such as academic writing, structuring writing, critical thinking and reflection. We contribute to a programme of generic workshops on these topics and work on applying these areas to the art and design disciplines.
The role will involve line management and several campus responsibilities, including a focus on our physical and virtual enquiry services.
Regular sightings of deer in the adjacent deer park come as standard in the package.
The full details are available on the HR website www.uwe.ac.uk/jobs and click on Vacancies in the ‘Jobs at UWE Bristol’ section to get to the search engine. The reference number is 1795889.
Feel free to contact me as the line manager of this role (see details below) or Ludovik Sebire, the Faculty Librarian ([log in to unmask]) if you have any questions.
Best wishes
Morwenna
