Dear Fellow Archivists
CALCA is the Cathedral Archives, Library and Collections Association - an Association aimed primarily at archivists, librarians and museum curators working in one of the 40 plus cathedrals in the UK. This June (12th-14th) Salisbury Cathedral is hosting the CALCA triennial conference. Those of us working in Cathedral archives are often also responsible for other heritage collections such as books and objects and therefore our conferences always have a wide cross section of speakers and topics. Even if you don't work in a Cathedral but instead in another type of specialist repository you would be very welcome for either the whole conference or just a day or two - I hope that the programme we have put together will be of interest. Sessions range from cataloguing standards to book provenance, from volunteers to conservation surveys as well as opportunities to socialise including a reception with Magna Carta.
You can find the conference programme and booking form on the CALCA website;
https://cathedrallibrariesandarchives.wordpress.com/events
or alternatively please contact me direct and I'll be happy to forward the programme and also answer any further questions
(as usual apologies for cross posting)
Many thanks
Emily
