Jisc is hosting a pair of one-day workshops- Maximising the use of digital collections in learning and research and Measuring usage and impact with digital collections.
Maximising the use of digital collections in learning and research– 8 May
Need help choosing channels to promote your digital collections? Want to develop strategies for promoting your collections and their content? This workshop will equip you and your organisation with skills that maximise the reach of those collections online. You will delve into how digital collections are discovered by key user groups including students and researchers and factors that affect the reuse of digital content.
Measuring usage and impact with digital collections– 22 May
Really get to grips with the impact of your digital collections. Develop and further your skills in planning for your use of web analytics in general and using Google Analytics to support digital collections. Really discover the meaning of ‘impact’ in relation to digital collections. During this workshop you will get an introduction to the Balanced Value Impact Model (BVI Model), learn how to design an approach to measuring the impact of digital collections.
Both workshops offer a mix of immersive exercises, case studies, talks and follow-on materials to transform theory into practical outcomes that you can apply to your organisation.
