Hi all,
there’s a longstanding debate on World Anthropologies/ Anthropologies of the South since the 1990s, with numerous contributions by anthropologists from Africa, Asia and Latin America in the following reviews and volumes:
Krotz, Esteban 1997. Anthropologies of the South: Their rise, their silencing, their characteristics. Critique of Anthropology, 17(3): 237 - 251.
Restrepo, Eduardo and Arturo Escobar 2005. 'Other Anthropologies and Anthropology Otherwise: Steps to a World Anthropologies Framework'. Critique of Anthropology, 25(2): 99-129.
Ribeiro, G. L. and A. Escobar 2006. World Anthropologies: Disciplinary Transformations within Systems of Power. Oxford, New York: Berg.
Best,
Claudia
