Since you have both X_noDW.mrc and X.mrc, it is probable (but not 100 %
certain)
that X.mrc is dose-weighted files renamed from MotionCor2's X_DW.mrc.

Run a motion correction job on a few micrographs by putting a 'fake'
high dose rate (say 10 e/A2/frame) and run CtfFind. Compare this with
the result with the true dose rate.
If the file is dose weighted, all high resolution Thon rings will disappear.
