Thanks Jenny!
It’s incredibly diverse. The illustrator has done an amazing job, all credit to Sol!

"How to be an Astronaut and other Space Jobs" is coming out on 6th June.
I haven't read it yet but knowing Sheila (who is is the Royal Astronomical Society's Outreach and Diversity Officer) I strongly suspect it would tick all your boxes:

"Do you have what it takes to become an astronaut, a spaceship engineer or to work at Mission Control? Find out all about space and all the incredible space jobs you could do, from training to be a space chef or designing spacesuits to searching for new planets we could live on, or even blasting into space and living in the International Space Station. This book will inspire any girl or boy with an interest in science and space exploration."

Hi Hive Mind,
UWE Science Communication Unit and Curiosity Connections Bristol are linking to Bristol Reading City, and we would like to promote books which challenge stereotypes of who scientists are, or what they do. We’re aiming at kids of all ages, from birth to 18. We know about:
- Rosie Revere Engineer
- Ada Twist Scientist
- Iggy Peck Architect
- Bedtime Stories for Rebel Girls/Boys
- The famous women series e.g. Marie Curie
We wondered if people have other suggestions. This could include:
- Women/girls as protagonists (i.e. doing things in a story, not being a bystander or helper)
- Scientists not wearing white coats
- People from other ethnicities
- Books demonstrating curiosity, and not giving up after failure.
Please email mailto:[log in to unmask] with ideas!
