As an aside to this thread which may be of interest, the
soon-to-be-released updated version of the open source LTI connector for
WebPA includes support for Canvas by using a new "API hook" facility to
replace missing LTI services with API calls. This is used to implement
the memberships with groups extension service which is not offered by
Canvas. Grades are then passed back using the standard LTI Basic
Outcomes service.
I will announce to this list when it has been formally released.
