earlier, I didn't really answer your question. If your ROI images have the same spatial transformation matrix as the anatomical image prior to coregistration, then the spm_get_space way will work. The solution to save the reorientation matrix and use the reorientation tool (followed by reslicing, if necessary) is more general, though. It can be applied to any images that were in register with the anatomical image prior to coregistration, regardless of their voxel size, image dimensions and image plane orientation.
