The deadline for nominations for the 2019 IRMS Awards has been EXTENDED to Friday 15th February. 

It’s been a landmark year for information management so what better way to celebrate the achievements of your peers over the last 12 months than by nominating them for one of our prestigious and sought-after awards?

The award categories are:
--- Professional of the Year 
--- Team of the Year 
--- Supplier of the Year 
--- Innovation of the Year 
--- Lifetime Achievement Award

The awards are presented at a glittering ceremony following our Gala Dinner, the centrepiece of our Annual Conference, taking place at the Celtic Manor Resort on 19-21 May 2019. It's not only the winners who are rewarded, though – we also highlight and celebrate all the nominees and finalists.

Criteria: 

Full details for the criteria of each of the awards can be found at www.irms.org.uk/AwardsCriteria. This outlines some examples, the things to consider for each category and some hints for what to include in your nomination so you can help your nominee shine!

How it works: 

The awards process couldn't be simpler:

1. As an IRMS member, think of someone that might be eligible for an award and check them against the criteria for that award or take a look at some of our previous winners including the 2018 award winners. 
2. Write an email with the details outlined on the nomination pages of the website and send to [log in to unmask] 
3. The Awards Panel will then validate the nominations for eligibility and where a number of nominations have been made will shortlist at least 3 finalists for each category. 
4. These finalists will then be put to the IRMS membership to vote for their preferred winner. In the meantime, finalists will each be contacted to encourage them to attend our Conference and Gala Dinner where the finalists and winners will be announced. 
5. Winners are issued with a certificate and trophy on the night to take home with them. We then announce details of the winners online and via social media and encourage them to write about their product/innovation/experiences for the IRMS Bulletin.

P.S. Nominations are also still open if you would like to join our lovely team of volunteers and on the IRMS Executive in 2019-20. There are a number of positions available and we welcome anyone willing to give up a bit of their time to support the information management profession. 

We are always on the lookout for fresh ideas and new people to join our vibrant team so if you have some time to help develop the profession and the Society, in what will be a challenging, unpredictable but nonetheless exciting year, please do look at getting involved.
