Dear all,
I do apologise for any cross-posting.
In advance of the Thursday 14th February deadline for submissions for
the EAA2019 (4-7 Sept 2019, Bern, Switzerland), please find attached
information regarding session #281 entitled ‘Scientific dating and
central-western Mediterranean prehistory: Developments and perspectives'
Session abstract:
The previous two decades have witnessed the widespread application of
absolute dating methods in Mediterranean prehistory, resulting in an
ever-growing body of radiocarbon data and enabling new understandings of
the chronology and tempo of cultural change in Mediterranean prehistory.
In light of this, we ask what have been the major developments in our
understanding of regional chronologies in central-western Mediterranean
prehistory over that past 25 years? What are the regions and time
periods that still require focused research? What are the methodological
issues surrounding the application of absolute dating methods in
central-western Mediterranean prehistory?
Full information is attached and abstracts can be submitted via the EAA
website (https://www.e-a-a.org/eaa2019). Submissions for 15 minute oral
presentations must include an abstract (150-300 words), 3-6 key words
and a title (20 words maximum).
Best wishes,
