During 2017 and 2018 EFAITH, the European Federation of Associations of Industrial and Technical Heritage, developed with the support of a EU COSME grant, a new label with QR code to promote and present industrial heritage sites, buildings and museums. It is a 15 x 15 cm label which has a QR code. Passersby can request information about the site at any hour of the day via their smartphone. There are max. five pages available for this, with illustrations, possibly film and sound clips, links to websites. The basic texts are in English, but every page can also be made available in all European languages, even Welsh, Gaelic, Basque, etc ... The sites are also presented and are searchable on the website www.industriana.eu
After several months of testing, the system has recently been made made available more widely for initiators in all countries of the Council of Europe. Sites have joined from Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom, ... and more to come
The INDUSTRIANA industrial heritage network is fastly growing now. If you also would like to have the unique label with its QR code for your site or museum, go to http://industriana.eu/?q=Industriana-labels and download the form at the bottom of that page
