Dear All,
I would like to introduce myself as the Environment Studies Publisher at Routledge responsible for commissioning books in the Environmental Humanities. We’ve recently established three new books series and relaunched our flagship Routledge Environmental Humanities series with new editors. We are actively commissioning books for all four series so please do take a look at the series descriptions below and get in touch if you have any publishing plans you would like to discuss.
Firstly, I’m very pleased to announce Scott Slovic, Joni Adamson and Yuki Masami as the new series editors for Routledge Environmental Humanities, taking over from Libby Robin and Paul Warde. You can read about the new transdisciplinary focus for the series and see existing titles here: www.routledge.com/series/REH.
Our first new series is Routledge Environmental Literature, Culture and Media, edited by Thomas Bristow. This series seeks works including academic monographs and anthologies, fictocriticism and studies of creative practices related to literature, culture and media in all forms.
We are also launching an environmental history series entitled New/Old Natures: Histories of the Environment, edited by Molly Warsh and Anya Zilberstein. We are interested in manuscripts that study the natural world and society in expansive historical terms to illuminate the material, conceptual, cultural and political dynamics of environmental change and continuity.
Finally, I can announce Routledge Environmental Ethics, which is edited by Benjamin Hale. Recognising the growing need for input from academic philosophers and political theorists in the broader environmental discourse, but also acknowledging that moral responsibilities for environmental alteration cannot be understood without rooting themselves in the practical and descriptive details, this series aims to unify contributions from within the environmental literature.
For questions about any of the series, or to discuss a proposal or project idea at any stage, please do get in touch on [log in to unmask] and I’d be delighted to hear from you.
All best wishes,
Rebecca
