Good evening all,
I have recently joined the list, being the curator of a small-ish
library which shares its space with a small-ish collection of artefacts
and an even smaller archive.
These collections are fitted into the ground floor and basement of a
19th-century house which was, in its early life, a gentleman's
residence, and is now the core of a defence site. Inevitably, the rooms
weren't designed for what they now store and, equally inevitably, the
basement has occasional episodes of damp.
However, I have been told that there is money available for a
dehumidifier, and I would be very grateful to hear from anyone with
advice on the best model.
Thank you.
Jane Wickenden
