The Southampton Clinical Trials Unit (SCTU), based at Southampton General Hospital is an expanding successful trials unit with core funding from CRUK and NIHR to support an increasing mixed portfolio of studies. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior statistician to join us.
The successful applicant will have a PhD or equivalent professional qualifications and relevant experience in clinical trial statistics or another relevant discipline. The successful applicant will also have excellent organisation and communication skills, an understanding of GCP and clinical trial regulations and be able to travel occasionally within the UK.
Once appointed, the post title will be Senior Research Fellow.
The employing organisation is the University of Southampton which offers a competitive salary, pension scheme and other benefits. The post is offered on a two year fixed term contract in the first instance with the expectation of further extensions. The post is offered full time but part time may be considered for the right candidate.
The SCTU is part of a strong research environment in Southampton which includes the Cancer Research UK Clinical Centre, Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre, Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Facility, NIHR BRU and Centre for Cancer Immunology.
