Salary: £46,762 - £56,526 per annum
Campus: Stadium House, White City campus in West London, with regular travel to South Kensington campus
Based in the Imperial Clinical Trials Unit (ICTU), School of Public Health at Imperial College London, the Statistical Advisory Service was established in 2004 and exists to provide statistical consulting services and training to clients within Imperial College London and external public and commercial bodies.
We are looking for someone to undertake a role as a Statistical Advisory Service Consultant and Deputy Director to the SAS team.
The successful candidate will assist the Director in the management of the Statistical Advisory Service (SAS), and will be responsible for overall SAS management and supervision of junior staff in the absence of the Director (during annual leave and conferences). These management functions will be in addition to the senior consultant’s role of developing and applying consultancy skills, and providing excellent statistical consultancy advice, as well as participating in grant applications, developing new courses as required and excellent delivery of existing courses.
You must have a First degree (Class I or II) or equivalent in a subject containing a substantial coverage of statistical theory, methods and practice (at least 50% of the final year) or a taught Master’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Medical Statistics or a subject with substantial high-level statistics content, as well as a PhD in statistics or medical statistics, or equivalent research experience.
This post is full time and open ended, and is based in West London at Stadium House, Wood Lane; close to Wood Lane and White City tube stations.
