Terminalia Festival of Psychogeography Saturday 23 Feb.

Walks, Events, Performances

Last year several WAN members participated in a day that saw eleven
free events across the world http://terminaliafestival.org/past#2018
Friday 23 Feb is Terminalia, the feast day of Terminus, Roman god of
boundaries and landmarks. If ever there was a feast day for
Psychogeography, this would be it! Tim Waters and members from the
Leeds Psychogeography have been doing a walk around the the centre of
Leeds visiting the medieval boundary stones since 2011 and this year
there are a few extra events during the day.
*** Call for Events ***
If you want to run a walk or event, let me know and we will add it to
the website! It just needs to be psychogeographical, free, open to the
public and on Saturday 23rd Feb. There's a little bit of space for
private participations also. See the website for examples of copy and
links from past events. This year we are lucky in that the festival
falls on a weekend, giving us all more time to celebrate!
The festival is now "open source" in that anyone can be associated
with the Terminalia festival of psychogeography on the 23rd and be
independent of terminaliafestival.org (The choice and listing on that
website is up to me, but you can run your own events with the same
name under your own steam and without approval by anyone!)
There's already a couple of events already planned. I'm running the
Leeds Beating the Bounds event and am open to small interventions
along the route.
More information on these events or to see previous years go to
http://terminaliafestival.org
Hope you have a happy Terminalia!
Tim
p.s. I'll send another reminder early Feb when we have more events.
