Should governments be allowed to access and bring together parents' and children's personal data from different sources?
Over time parents and children access many services and communicate with a wide variety of organizations. Every time you do, information is recorded.
Governments argue that if they could bring these datasets together policies would be improved and support could be targeted to those who need it most.
But others are concerned about the implications for privacy and the potential impacts on the lives of children and their parents.
We would like to know parents' views.
If you are a parent of a school aged child please take part in our research by completing a brief survey here www.ncrm.ac.uk/survey/index.php/995222/lang/en/newtest/Y. Or please forward this email to any eligible parents you know.
Responses will be confidential and respondents could win a £100 voucher in a prize draw.
