Hello everyone,
My name is Yolanda, and I am currently doing my Master’s degree in Applied Psychology, completing my dissertation project. I am interested in exploring a particular type of couple relationships called Living Apart Together (LAT). These are relationships where the partners of the couple are in a committed relationship but live apart by choice. Not much research has been conducted on this way of being in a couple relationship, so my research aims to explore the meanings and experiences of individuals who consider themselves to be in a LAT relationship.
I am looking for individuals who are aged 25 or over and are currently in a LAT relationship. This excludes individuals who are young adults living with parents, and couples who are in long distance relationships. You will need to have been in your LAT relationship for at least 6 months.
If you would like to participate, I will ask you to attend a one-off interview that will be arranged at a convenient time for you. The questions are open ended, in order to give you the chance to talk about whatever you deem relevant about your experiences of being in a LAT relationship, so it will feel like a conversation. The interview will last approximately 45 minutes.
If you are interested in telling me about your experiences, or if you know any couples who will be, please contact me on:

Please also find my poster attached to this email.
I'm really grateful to anyone who reads this and is able to help me with my project, as well as to anyone who can forward this to colleagues or schools who may be interested.
Many thanks in advance for your kind help!
Yolanda Agyemang-Baah
