Dear colleagues:
We are a new Max Planck Research Group at the Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society within the Department of Physical Chemistry. We experimentally employ attosecond transient spectroscopies in the extreme ultraviolet to soft X-ray range and develop novel transient diffraction methods to explore charge and spin dynamics in novel materials such as two-dimensional (2D) materials and heterostructures as well as at interfaces/surfaces. Another stream of research focuses on developing nonlinear X-ray spectroscopies at free-electron lasers to study surface dynamics. Our research labs are situated on the FHI campus in Berlin-Dahlem, Germany, in a highly collaborative research environment.
We are solicitating applications for post-doctoral researchers and PhD students to fill several open positions in our lab for starting March 2019. For further details and requirements please contact Michael ([log in to unmask]) and/or visit our webpage at http://pc.fhi.mpg.de/atto.
Thank you for your attention and best wishes,
Michael Zürch
