Though some people did pitch to meet on the Thursday, a large majority of those who responded went for the Monday evening (maybe you have already been on the boat trip?!). Just to note, there will be the potential to meet with the IBRAA association on the Thursday for those who are staying a bit longer and don’t fancy a day out in the countryside that day!.
Lauren, would it be possible to find out from the hotel if we can use one of the rooms between, say, 5 and 7.30pm on Monday June 17th, and then maybe all continue the discussion over bar food afterwards? I would anticipate a maximum of about 30 people, as most conference attendees will go on one of the trips that evening, I assume. If the weather is fab, we could even meet outside, I guess?

I have been thinking about the best way forward for this (if 'this' is doing some brainstorming, and coming up with some kind of draft international strategy along the lines Claire has suggested below) and I know other groups are doing similar thinking work. The two options for meeting at Grange seemed to be either to have a whole extra day (on the Thursday, the day after the conference ends) or to have an initial meeting on the Monday or Wednesday evenings immediately following the conference programme.
The problem with a whole day event is that it will be expensive to hire a room/organise food, and people will have to stay another night. We are also planning another meeting for that day (for the IBRAA association) so there will be a clash. Tuesday night is the conference dinner, so that wont work.
I think, therefore, there are two options.
1. Monday June 17th from, say, 17.00-20.00 followed by a meal somewhere to continue chatting (but this means attendees will miss the social event planned for that evening - this will probably be a choice of either a boat trip + meal or a theatre visit +meal) 2. Wednesday June 19th at a similar time, though some may need to leave early to catch trains and etc so they can get back home that night.
Can those of you who will be at Grange, and who are interested in this discussion, let me know which of these would be your preference, and I will go with a simple majority. Can you let me know ***BY FEB 1st? ***
I will then let you know asap after that what the final arrangements are.
We MAY be able to set up a video link for those who will not be physically there, but, due to the geography of the area, the internet signal is not always great, so this cant be guaranteed Im afraid. Any future face to face meetings we set up will be in settings where this option is much more feasible.

Because non UK people on the list had reacted?
Also there are high income countries with rates much lower than UK and good matr-ernal and neonatal outcomes: 5 Nordic countries, Netherlands, and even France and Belgium are at 20 - 21 % IN OBSTETRICAL UNITS.
