Dear all
We are delighted to release the conference schedule for our upcoming BSA and Wellcome Trust funded conference 'Critically mapping cross border reproduction' which is taking place at the University of West England, Bristol on the 1st February.
The conference includes a plenary from Professor Diana Marre, three panels and a closing roundtable. Together these sessions will prompt discussion and reflection around key questions including:
* Who and what is able to move across borders, and with what costs and to whom?
* What can a political economy perspective bring to our mapping of cross-border reproduction?
* How do we take into account the ethical and political sensitivities and the methodological complexities when analysing cross-border reproduction?
* What kind of new/old solidarities (can) emerge when analysing cross-border reproduction, and how do they intersect with other practices of care, solidarity and kinship?
The full conference programme is available here: https://www.britsoc.co.uk/media/24938/critically_mapping_cross_border_reproduction_prog_010219.pdf
The conference will take place at the University of the West of England (UWE), Frenchay Campus Bristol in Block X, room 6X109.
The city of Bristol is located two hours from London and is easily accessible by both rail and road and is well served by Bristol and London Heathrow airport: https://www1.uwe.ac.uk/about/visitus/howtofindus.aspx
