I would like to invite you to participate in a voluntary research study about the creation and use of local name and subject vocabularies to increase discoverability and connect collections in library catalogs. We are seeking librarians from any type of library, with resource cataloging as a primary or secondary job duty, to participate. The findings of this study will be incorporated into a research paper to complete the requirements for a Master’s of Library and Information Science degree at Kent State University. This study is being conducted by Gillian Hayward, MLIS graduate student, Kent State University and Athena Salaba, Ph.D., School of Information at Kent State University.
