I am trying to introduce varying amounts of random noise to fMRI images. The fslmaths -rand(n) flag seems like it would be useful for this, however I want to ontroduce a range of amounts of noise. Is there anyway to do this with the -rand flag? One possibility is just repeatedly executing this command on the same image to add more noise but this is rather clumsy.
Any advice on how to introduce varying amounts of pixel-by-pixel noise would be much appreicated, using FSLUTILS or not.
