In view of the comments received I will shelve my concerns.
I was never in doubt there was a valid legal basis for appropriate sharing, just a bit worried as to whether we were a DPA Pt 3 "competent authority".
I will let the ISA through and document the 'alternative' GDPR grounds internally ... just in case
